I am a post-doc of the Marine Biology Lab at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) since November 2014 working on the projects vERSO and RECTO. I received my PhD from Wageningen UR (The Netherlands) in 2015. I am an ecophysiologist and my research focus on assessing how the physiological responses of marine benthic species to environmental stressors affect their role within their ecosystems.
At ULB, I research the impact of global change on benthic invertebrate’s populations in the Southern Ocean. I work developing statistical and mechanistic models (based on ecology theory) based on field recorded data and laboratory experiments. These models aim to describe the response of these organisms under natural gradients of environmental variability. Information gathered can then be used to predict the impact of future scenarios of global change conditions on these organisms performance.
