I am a post-doc of the Marine Biology Lab at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB) since November 2014 working on the project vERSO. I received my PhD from the Wageningen UR (The Netherlands) in 2015, where I researched the effect of environmental conditions in the impact of sea stars on mussel populations.
At ULB, I research the impact of global change on benthic invertebrate’s populations in the Southern Ocean. I focus on the development of species distribution models (SDM’s) that can be used to predict the impact of future environmental conditions scenarios. These models will feed on available presence records and information on the organisms physiology and biology obtained through field and laboratory experiments.
