Ecophysiology investigates the relationships between environmental conditions and their variations on the one hand and physiological answers of the organisms on the other hand. We focus principally on physiological effects of temperature, pH, wave exposure, metal contamination and food availability.

The main projects include :

  • Ressource allocation according to food availability in Antarctic sea urchins
  • Mechanical adaptations of sea urchins according to wave exposure
  • Interactions between metal contamination, metabolism and acid-base physiology
